Yellowstone National Park is asking the public to review and comment on its proposal for a new winter-use plan. Released in May, the draft EIS analyzes a variety of approaches to managing future use of snowmobiles and snowcoaches in the park. Comments will be accepted through July 18.
Public meetings are scheduled on Tuesday, June 7, at the West Yellowstone Holiday Inn, 215 Yellowstone Ave., and on Wednesday, June 8, at the Bozeman Holiday Inn, 5 Baxter Lane. Both meetings will run from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m.
Webinars for those who cannot attend the public meetings will be offered Tuesday, June 21, noon to 2 p.m., and Wednesday, June 22, 5 to 7 p.m. Details on how to participate in the webinars will be posted in on the National Park Service's Planning, Environment and Public Comment website, read more...
