Popular young politician Nicole Seah has issued a statement on her Facebook debunking the lies which have been propagated by the PAP-controlled media to destroy her credibility and reputation.
Two days ago, The New Paper (TNP) kicked up a fuss over Nicole’s online appeal for donations into her own personal bank account which is perfectly legal under the law.
It is not known if the smear campaign against Nicole was spear-headed by the infamous Melvinderpal Singh from Malaysia who was also responsible for smearing SDP during the election.
The hogwash was reproduced in Shin Min Daily which went further to quote from some faceless netizen to insinuate that Nicole will abscond with the funds raised and leave NSP.
While most netizens lent support to Nicole and denounced the state media’s clumsy attempts at character-assassination, Yahoo News unexpectedly published a blatantly biased article to discredit Nicole.
In the brief comment posted at 2.45am this morning, Nicole wrote:
“The call to defray campaign expenses is an initiative I undertook on my own free will after seeing other candidates do the same. I am unfazed by the baseless accusations. My work for the community in the immediate and long term will speak for my credibility as a politician. I will be accountable and transparent to the supporters who have pledged their money to the Marine Parade NSP team. Thank you.” read more...
